Volt, aki előnyökkel indult, de az érdeklődés és a kíváncsiság mindenkinél meghozta az eredményt: az elmúlt hónapokban társalgási szinten mindannyian megtanultak magyarul. Arra kértük őket, hogy mondják el szokásos bemutatkozó mondataikat, beszéljenek a magyar emberekről vagy meséljék el, miért pont Magyarországra jöttek önkénteskedni.
[:en]However Hungarian is definitely top-rated among the most difficult languages in the world, volunteers from abroad at Hungarian Charity Service of the Order or Malta are proving the opposite. Mascha, Lotte, Henning, Charlotte, Gerhard and Theresa are from Germany and for a whole year they worked at different cities all around Hungary.
Some of them had advantages in the beginning (such as having Hungarian origins or living here earlier), still curiosity and eagerness to learn ended up with a good result: all the volunteers know how to speak Hungarian on a basic communicational level being at the last period of their stay. We asked them to share their general introduction sentences, tell us about the local people, or reveal their stories how they have ended up volunteering in Hungary.
